Black Friday AI Visibility Kit

This year the shopper might be a machine. AI search does not hand back a list of links any more, it names a few brands and moves on, so the question is no longer where you rank. It is whether you get named at all. Five steps, in order, every one of them already free on this site.

The five steps, and why the order matters Each step gates the one after it Work them out of order and the later fixes have nothing to stand on 1 Visibility Does AI name you? 2 Performance Fast enough to read? 3 Product data Can a machine parse it? 4 Authority Who vouches for you? 5 Measurement Does it hold up? A product page nobody can load is not a content problem, and better copy will not fix it. hawkacademy.co
The order is the method. Each step decides whether the next one can matter.

Step 1 of 5 · Visibility

Does AI actually recommend your store?

AI recommends your store, or it recommends somebody else, and you can find out which in about ten minutes. That is the only honest place to start, because every other fix on this page is guesswork until you know where you stand.

AI answers no longer hand back a list of links. They quote the brands with the best content, structure and authority, and everyone else is simply absent from the answer. Absent is a different problem from ranking tenth, because there is no page two to be on.

Run the check before you change anything. A score you took in October is what tells you in December whether any of this worked.

  • AI Visibility Check SkillChecks whether ChatGPT and Claude recommend your business. Tests 8 real customer queries and scores your AI visibility.
  • Citation Share AuditorTurns your Bing Webmaster Tools AI Performance data into a ranked plan: where you own the citation space, and where you are losing it.

Template: The AI Keyword Sheet. Somewhere to keep the queries you are tracking, so the next check compares against the last one.

Step 2 of 5 · Performance

Is your site fast enough for AI to bother?

Speed decides whether your page gets read at all. A page that takes too long is a page an AI model can skip, and a skipped page cannot be quoted no matter how good the writing is.

This is the step people skip, because it feels like a developer problem rather than a visibility one. It is neither. It is usually a handful of oversized images and a few heavy blocks, and it is the cheapest thing on this list to fix.

Check whether your speed is genuinely a problem before you spend a fortnight on it. Most sites are told to fix a score that was never holding them back, and the tool below exists because of exactly that.

  • Is My Page Speed Really A Problem?Checks whether your page speed score is really holding you back, using real visitor data benchmarked against the sites ranking in your niche.
  • Core Web Vitals ChecklistDiagnose and fix Core Web Vitals in plain English: what LCP, CLS and INP mean, with the exact fixes.

Template: Technical SEO Checklist. Work the technical layer in order rather than in whatever order you notice things.

Step 3 of 5 · Product data

Can a machine read your product pages?

A machine does not browse your product page the way a person does. It reconstructs a product graph from signals scattered across the page, and a short blurb with a keyword in it gives that graph almost nothing to build from.

This is where the kit turns, because it is where the shopper stops being a person. Material, sizing, use cases and real customer quotes are the details that let a machine work out why your product answers the question someone asked. Headings that mirror how people actually search do the same job.

Schema is the other half. Products, reviews and FAQs marked up properly are the difference between a page that can be understood and a page that has to be guessed at.

  • Agentic Product Page AuditorAudits whether AI shopping agents can read and buy from your ecommerce product page. Scores the whole product graph across 6 layers.
  • Product Page OptimizerAudits and rewrites a product page for search rankings and AI shopping recommendations, on an eight-point evaluation.
  • Schema Markup GeneratorGenerates valid JSON-LD from a plain-English page description: picks the right types, fills real values, and brackets what it cannot know.

Template: On-Page SEO Checklist. Thirty-five checks for a single page, each with what a pass, a warning and a fail actually look like.

Step 4 of 5 · Authority

Do backlinks still matter for AI search?

Backlinks still matter, and the claim that they stopped mattering is wrong. AI systems lean on authority signals to work out which brands to trust, and a link from a site that already has trust is still one of the strongest signals there is.

What has changed is which links count. A mention in a genuine product roundup, a piece of press that someone chose to write, a creator who actually uses the thing: those read as evidence. Volume for the sake of volume does not.

Black Friday coverage gets planned early, so the pitching happens now rather than in November. A link that lands the week of the sale has missed most of its own value.

  • Good Backlinks vs Bad BacklinksThe difference is not authority or relevance, it is intent. Google judges a link by whether it was created to manipulate rankings.
  • Backlink GapEnter your domain and up to three competitors to find the referring domains linking to them but not to you.
  • Digital PR for Link BuildingThe campaign types that earn editorial backlinks, and the exact process to run them.

Template: Competitor Analysis Template. Twenty-five things worth comparing, grouped so you can stop after the group that matters.

Step 5 of 5 · Measurement

What does all of it come down to?

It comes down to three things: answer the questions people actually ask, mark up every page so a machine can read it, and show real expertise rather than claiming it. Everything above is a route into one of those three.

Answering real questions means finding out what people ask around your product, not guessing. Structured data means product, FAQ and review markup on every page rather than the homepage only. Expertise means quality images, genuine use cases and real reviews, which is the part nobody can fake at speed.

If you only have an afternoon, do step one and step three. Knowing whether AI recommends you, and giving it something worth reading when it arrives, is most of the value on this page.

  • Query Fan-Out ToolEnter any query and see the real sub-questions AI search fans it into, pulled from live search data.
  • Google Trust SkillShows you exactly what Google sees on your website. Returns 4 trust scores and 3 fixes.
  • E-E-A-T ExplainedWhat E-E-A-T actually means for rankings and AI citations, and the exact steps to demonstrate it.

Template: SEO Strategy Template. Fifteen objectives, each with one metric, a dated baseline and a line saying what would prove it wrong.

Where to start if the sale is close

Start at step one and step three. Finding out whether AI recommends you takes about ten minutes, and giving it a product page worth reading is the fix with the most left in it. Speed and links matter, and they matter more with a month of runway than with a week.

Nothing here expires on the twenty-seventh of November. A store that AI can find, load, read and trust is a store that sells in February as well.
